Lois Benslay Hughes, 79, of Titusville, Fl, quietly passed from this earth, June 20, 2012, surrounded by her family at the home of her devoted daughter Evelyn Abney. Lois was born in Cleveland, Ohio, April 13, 1933. She came to Florida in 1957, settling in Eau Gallie; subsequently moving to Merritt Island. Lois is survived by Evelyn Abney, Titusville, Fl, Elaine Warner, Lerna, IL and Charles Hughes, Cocoa, Fl., 7 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.

Lois was employed with the Brevard County School System for 37 years as an administrative assistant. During her career she served as treasurer of the Florida State Association of Professional Office Personnel and president of the local Association.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, at 2 pm, at the Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, Florida. Memorial services will be held at 3 pm, following the visitation. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Garden in Titusville.
