Joseph Richard Hinger, age 69, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012. He was born in Lehighton, Pennsylvania in 1942; he was a son of the late Alvin and Anna Hinger. Joe was currently employed at PHI Inc and was a retired Veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife; Gayle Hinger, Titusville, Fl: brother, Dr. Alvin Hinger, Fort Piece, Pa, Dennis Hinger, Douglasville, Pa,: sister, Mary Lou Levan, Lehighton Pa: son, Joseph F. Hinger, Richard J. Hinger, North Port, Fl and Jason Hunter, Tallassee, Al,: daughter Mary A. King, Lansdale, Pa Linda D. Hinger, Myakka, Fl and Stacie Hunter, Tallassee, Al and nieces and nephews and 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin W. Hinger. He will be in our hearts forever.
Joe loved playing many sports such as ice hockey, softball, and billiards. He also enjoyed reading books. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburg Steelers.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, Titusville, Fl
